The global pandemic forced teams everywhere to learn how to work together from anywhere, while maintaining productivity, driving innovation, and building a thriving culture. Critically, platforms like Zoom have kept everyone connected. Along the way, companies have discovered that in addition to video meetings and messaging, effective teamwork and meetings — especially when doing creative work like brainstorming, prototyping, and iterating ideas — requires a shared space for visual collaboration.
That’s why millions turn to MURAL every month. MURAL enables teams at more than 75 percent of the Fortune 100 to imagine and ideate together, collaborating visually in the same shared digital canvas. We’ve seen team leaders use MURAL’s Facilitation Superpowers™ to increase participation, drive decisions faster, and build camaraderie and connection.
Today, with the launch of Zoom Apps, we’re excited to share the next evolution in digital collaboration that brings best-in-class solutions like Zoom and MURAL together. Zoom Apps are in-product apps that are integrated into the Zoom experience. Within meetings, you can share Zoom Apps with other attendees to facilitate seamless collaboration and engagement.
With the MURAL App for Zoom, you can now share a digital canvas inside of a Zoom meeting so that all participants can collaborate visually in real time with digital sticky notes, drawings, diagrams, images, and more.
Use MURAL’s Facilitation Superpowers™ and pre-made meeting templates to get more out of your video meetings.
The MURAL App for Zoom is free and available in the Zoom App Marketplace. Only the Zoom meeting owner needs to be a MURAL member — everyone else can join as a visitor, which doesn’t require a MURAL account.
With all of MURAL’s visual thinking features easily available to all meeting participants, everyone can share ideas on equal footing without bias to the loudest voice or where anyone is located. Now, you can get more from your team with everyone engaged in co-creating the strategies and solutions to solve your biggest problems.
Using the MURAL App for Zoom empowers team leaders to facilitate meetings that deliver better outcomes, drive speedy decision making, and accelerate innovation. With features like outline, timer, and voting, you can keep the meeting on track. Private Mode enables everyone to contribute anonymously, resulting in more diverse ideas and honest feedback. Features like celebrate and reactions help build connection and momentum with the team.
MURAL offers hundreds of pre-made templates, so that you can provide a proven framework for the meeting with almost no additional effort. From strategy to execution to team building, there are templates for nearly every need and you can publish custom templates for you and your colleagues to use. You can try some of our most popular templates:
After the meeting, collaboration can continue asynchronously with all work automatically and securely saved. With the MURAL App for Zoom, it’s easy to collaborate before, during and after a Zoom meeting with the full suite of visual collaboration and facilitation features available inside of Zoom.
Using the MURAL app in a Zoom meeting is simple and easy. To begin, you’ll need to install the app from the Zoom App Marketplace. Depending on your plan type, you may need to contact your Zoom and MURAL administrators to enable the integration prior to installing.
Once you open the MURAL app inside of Zoom, you’ll be prompted to login. Only the meeting owner will need to have an active MURAL membership. Meeting participants can join as visitors or sign in (if visitors are disabled for that mural, then sign-in will be required)..
Next you’ll choose a mural to use for the meeting and share it. Everyone in the meeting will receive an alert and the shared digital canvas will appear. It can be expanded to provide more space for visual collaboration. It’s that easy!
