Going forward, we’ll bring you all of Mural’s product and feature update goodness right here on our blog.
Read on to learn more about our latest releases, including improvements to sharing your content, updates for Enterprise plans, and other enhancements that'll improve your daily workflows!
Our simplified share modal makes it quicker and easier to share murals with collaborators
Next time you use the share button, you’ll notice a cleaner share experience that makes it easy to invite people by email address or name. All existing company security settings are maintained, and mural-specific security settings (such as setting a password or expiration) are easier to find with a single tap, using ‘Manage access and settings.’
Also, we’ve consolidated the different types of sharing into a single share link, rather than having distinct links for visitors and members:
- If a customer is logged in, they'll access the mural that was shared via your link as a member or guest, depending on their existing permissions.
- If they aren't logged in, they'll access the link as a visitor (unless visitors are disallowed in your account).

Enterprise Updates
Centrally and securely manage Mural users and groups
We're excited to announce that our SCIM Groups solution is now available to all Enterprise plan customers! This highly anticipated functionality allows you to easily provision, deprovision, and manage user group access and permission settings for your Mural workspaces through our updated SCIM API and the new Mapping API.
Along with this release, we've updated our Microsoft Azure AD and Okta integrations to seamlessly support group provisioning.
Furthermore, we now offer a dedicated Groups page in the company dashboard, which provides visibility into your user group configuration. Soon, we'll enable the ability to map groups to workspaces and manage group permissions directly within the Groups page in the company dashboard.

Gain greater security and control over your company's data in Mural with BYOK encryption
Our highly anticipated BYOK encryption offering can now be purchased as an optional paid add-on for your Enterprise plan account! This initial release allows you to encrypt supported data at rest with a dedicated key (i.e. BYOK) stored in Mural's key vault.
In the very near future, we'll allow customers to store this key in an Azure or AWS vault managed by your encryption team. In all, this offering will provide greater security and control over your company's data in the Mural platform.
