You asked, we listened! This month we added new enhancements for diagramming, viewing images and PDFs, tablet updates, and more! 

Create more robust diagrams

Enhancements to our diagramming experience include a collection of 50 new shapes, improved connector behavior, and new arrow tips — enabling more robust diagram creation in Mural. 

Connectors now attach more smoothly to an object’s border and maintain a stronger connection to shapes, sticky notes, images, etc., even when moving them around on the mural. To get started, tap the shapes and connectors button in the left toolbar.

Mural’s web experience is now live on tablet devices

Mural App on android and iOS will see this new update that'll enable the Hana experience for those devices allowing a smoother experience for the tablet user. With this major update, tablet users will have the same web experience now on their tablets. This boosts collaboration for tablet users and allows us to make feature updates faster for tablet users. We are working towards creating a consistent Mural experience for all platforms.

Enterprise updates

Members page (new)

Member management made easy
Get greater visibility and centralized control over all the Members in your account without the need for workspace admin privileges on every workspace. Perform administrative actions and bulk actions to easily manage your company’s use of Mural, even as it scales.

Groups page (enhancement)

SCIM groups enhancement: configure groups in the company dashboard
Building on our recently launched SCIM groups functionality, new enhancements to the Groups page enable Enterprise plan company admins to configure SCIM groups directly within the company dashboard. As an alternative to Mural’s Mapping API, the Groups page can now be used to map SCIM groups to specific workspaces and set group permissions.

We’ve also updated the flow for requesting access to a mural to make the experience more streamlined. You can get more insight into what’s new here.

Other product updates 

You can now view images and PDFs directly in your mural with our improved image & file viewer. Now, clicking an image or file that's been dragged-and-dropped onto the canvas opens in a preview directly on top of the mural, rather than in a new tab — allowing you to stay directly in the context (and flow) of your work.
