Visualize the future of a product, service, or policy with a simple illustrated story
Explore the future of your product or service with the Simple Storyboard template. This flexible tool provides six blank spaces for storyboard frames to help you visualize the narrative arc of your ideas, while allowing you to add more if needed. Although designed with an emphasis on envisioning future states, this template can be easily adapted to document existing states if that better suits your needs.
At the top of the template are four popular storytelling formats for your convenience. These may serve as inspiration or guidance structure for your narrative shaping:
Three acts: Composed of a beginning (setup), middle (confrontation), and end (resolution), this is a classic format used in many storytelling mediums.
Hero's journey: Follow a protagonist on an adventure, facing and overcoming a crisis, returning eventually as a transformed individual.
In the middle: A non-linear approach where you kickstart with the climax, touch on the initial events through flashbacks for better context, and then weave these components into a coherent conclusion.
ABCDE: Jump straight into the Action, infuse Background details, ascend to the story's Climax, continue Developing the narrative, and conclude with a satisfying Ending.
The Simple Storyboard template offers an effective way to frame your ideas and bring your future stories to life visually. Use it to spark imagination, foster insight, and create compelling narratives about the future (or present) of your products or services.
